the road.

The Resurgence symbol begins with the empty tomb, the defining image of resurrection. Its open center represents the place where death was defeated and new life began. Rather than focusing on the instrument of Christ’s death, the mark points to the evidence of his victory: the tomb is empty.

The two unequal forms also represent discipleship. The larger form stands for the mature disciple who comes alongside another man. The smaller form is still being formed, growing toward the strength and maturity he sees modeled before him. They face one another across a shared center, reflecting discipleship as a relationship built through presence, truth, and imitation.

Together, the forms approach a complete circle. Neither creates wholeness alone. Their relationship produces a larger sense of unity while each remains distinct. The openings keep the mark from feeling closed or finished, acknowledging that formation is ongoing. Wholeness is not presented as self-sufficiency, but as restoration through Christ and life shared with others.

Christ is risen, men are made new, and renewed men help form others.
